After hosting my blog on Livejournal for quite some time, I have made a change and moved my blog to my own personal website. I really like the idea of hosting my own blog software, adding enhancements, and otherwise making changes on my own. Livejournal was nice, but a paid account does in fact cost money. Why not just use my blog here and link to things on my own website. The choice as to what to use was a more difficult one. I tried b2evolution and wordpress, and I find wordpress to be a lot easier to use and more straightforward. B2evolution had a lot of features that I just didn’t need.
So here I am with WordPress and I am pretty happy with it. Importing all my old entries from Livejournal was very easy as well as the comments. This is going to be a work in progress as I continue to read up on WordPress and how to use it. So far, so good though. I couldn’t be happier with this move.
