Unexpected Suprise

Thursday 12/10/03 – Smith-Diamond Reality vrs Kales

Ok, first a little background on this game. Kales hasn’t won a game so far this season, and it isn’t because they are playing bad. Here is a team that reminds me of a true beginner team. A team that hasn’t played much organized hockey together. A team that wants to play and have fun. Smith-Diamond is a team that has been around for a while. Needless to say, I expected Smith-Diamond to come out on top. After only 6 guys showed up to play on my team, I expected a dogfight and I got just that. Kales won in overtime 6-5. I suppose the good thing to think about is the fact we got out of that with a tie. That is much more than we deserved.

Five of the six goals were scored off pretty centering passes and then one time shots. That shows this team really knew how to play their positions and that is a strength for them. My team really was tired at the middle part of the game. At the end, they were exhausted. The only goal I wanted back was the overtime goal. That shot went five hole on me and I went down entirely too slowly.

One more game tonight! All is not lost! 🙂
